ESN is headed by an international board that are working in and from Brussels to make sure projects such as the ESN Card, the ESN Survey but also representing ESN in conferences and meetings that will give the exchange students of Europe a voice (often using the results of the survey). The Board consists of five persons; a president, vice-president, treasurer, network administrator and a regular board member. In the office is also one Secretary General working.

Each country has a person that is the National Representative (NR). This NR is regularly attending meetings with the other NR in something called the Council of National Representatives (CNR). These meetings are held about 2-4 times per semester. The duty of the NR’s is to communicate to the national boards what is going on in the international level but is also working as the controlling instance for the international board.

Once every year all sections of Europe is invited to the Annual General Meeting (AGM). The AGM is a meeting that normally hosts 500 volunteers from the 200 sections around Europe. So it is not only a meeting... The AGM is the highest decision-making body of ESN.
